I thought I would share some of the old
hymns I have come to love. I'll do one at a time, so I thought I
would start with this one first. I recently learned this one and
it has become of of my favourites. When we constantly abide in
Jesus, our hearts can be filled with such joy and peace.
Something the world cannot give. Also it is such a precious
promise that we are never alone “I will never leave you.”
(by Mrs Will L. Murphy)
A peace it cannot take away;
Tho' the trials of life may surround like a cloud,
I've a peace that has come there to stay!
Constantly abiding, Jesus is mine;
Constantly abiding, rapture divine;
He never leaves me lonely, whispers, O, so kind:
“I will never leave thee,” Jesus is mine.
All the world seemed to sing of a Saviour and King,
When peace sweetly came to my heart;
Troubles all fled away and my night turned today,
Blessed Jesus, how glorious Thou art!
This treasure I have in a temple of clay,
While here on His footstool I roam;
But He's coming to take me some glorious day,
Over there to my heavenly home!
Sorry I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, the link won't work, so just
copy and paste and you can hear this hymn on the cyber hymnal. 🙂
Enjoy and be blessed!!
