Making Your Home a Haven Challenge: Day 8

Making Your Home a Haven Challenge: Day 8

Day 8 of Crystal’s challenge.

1) Refresh your spirit.

I was blessed by reading Ps.5 this morning and had a time of prayer.

"But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee." Ps 5:11

2) Do your morning routine.  – done

3) Take time to plan.

1. piano lessons
2. 10 minute clean up in living room and entry way
3. school
4. bedrooms
5. kitchen clean up
6. water plants
7. fold laundry
8. grocery shopping
9. start washing diapers

4) What’s on the menu for dinner?  done and eaten!  πŸ™‚

5) Project of the day.

Put on an apron, light some candles, roll up your sleeves, and let’s get to work! Today’s project is the bedrooms. You can either choose to tackle all of the bedrooms, or you can just pick the one which needs the most work and start there. Set the timer for 15 minutes and do a quick pick up, declutter and throw out trash, do a quick dust and vacuum, and you’re done!

Ok, here is the girl’s bedroom….   I have a very hard time with the girls and their room.  They can’t seem to keep it tidy.  We spent about 20 mintues, the 3 of us working.

After…

A couple more pics to come…..  πŸ™‚  Off to clean theboys room now that my toddler is up from his nap.  πŸ™‚

Ok, I’m back…

Here is the boys room.  It does not usually look like this, but this week it seemed to have gotten away on us.  I was pleased when Crystal’s challenge was the bedrooms today.  πŸ™‚  I spent about 10 minutes in here.

After…

The master bedroom, I vacuumed and dusted and picked up some things on the floor, I spent 10 minutes or less in there.

Another day of the challenge done!

  1. Tanya,

I have really enjoyed seeing all of your cleaning projects–really makes me want to get busy with my own cleaning and organizing!
