Making Your Home a Haven Monday: Refresher Series- my day

Monday’s making your home a haven!

Here is my list for today’s  Making Your Home a Haven Monday

1. Two loads of laundry – both drying on the line
2. math with S.
3. bake bread
4. tidy bedrooms
5. tidy and vacuum living room
6. clean aquarium (fish)

Ok, about the laundry, one is already drying on the line and the other is in the washer, almost done.  Now I’m off to check on the laundry and do math with my oldest daughter.  Math is our last subject for this year and we are almost done!

Blessings to all of you as you make your home a haven for your loved ones!

  I should be back later on to check things off the list!

First update: both loads of laundry drying out on the line.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Second update:  Tidied up bedrooms, girls did their room.  Now I’m off to make bread.  S. is almost done her math too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Third update:  Bread is rising in the oven and the aquarium has been done.
Hubby has taken the 4 older ones out with him, so S. was going to finish her math after they got back home.  Anyway, it is pretty quiet here, since baby is napping too.  I should go and take the clothes off of the line and tidy up the living room.  It has been a good day.  The weather is perfect too,  blue sky with puffy white clouds and a lovely breeze!

Fourth update:  Laundry off the line, bread out of the oven and the livingroom tidied up and vacuumed, plus vacuumed the dinningroom and kitchen.  I’ll post some pics later.

Picture time…..

Fresh from the oven

A precious baby girl who just woke up from her nap.  She had such a long nap this afternoon, must be because the others were all out, so it was pretty quiet here.  Such a sweetheart!

Sweet smiles

That’s my last update for the day.  Today went well and we are ready for a new day tomorrow.  God is good!

  1. It looks like you have got a lot done today. Hannah is still doing her math too. We use Abeka and it is really hard, I was looking over her book for next year(4th grade) and I really am going to have to dig in my brain to remember some of that material. It is true there is nothing like a clean house, but you also got the fresh bread cooking so I am sure your house smells really good. I do hope to have a great few days with my sweet nephew and sister, I miss them horribly since I moved away. Blessings Delilah

  2. Yes, baking bread does smell good! 🙂

    I used A Beka this year, but I didn't like the math so I went with School of Tomorrow. We are almost done! 🙂 Didn't get as much math done today as I would have liked, but there is still tomorrow. Edited by Lilyofthevalley4 on Jun. 16, 2008 at 9:04 PM

  3. How beautiful ~ the bread and baby! ;*) Love to hear of your day. I have been in a posting slump, but have some pics from our trip last week to post. Just need to get the gumption to post!! Thanks for remaining faithful!

  4. Wow, the baby is getting so big! It's amazing how fast they grow up. My baby is two already. There's nothing I love better than the smell of freshly baked bread. I cheat and use a bread machine, but it still smells so good. Hope the rest of your week goes well. God bless.

  5. Yes, hasn't she grown fast!?! Where does the time go??? 🙂

    I use a bosch, so it does all the mixing and kneading for me, all I have to do is add the ingredients and then shape the dough into loaves at the end and place in the oven. 🙂

    Hope you have a great week too!

    Nikki, I look forward to seeing pics from your recent trip. I have some pics I hope to share this week sometime about our recent canoeing trip. 🙂 It was lots of fun!

  6. She must have had a good nap :). I love those sleepy grins they give when you go in to get them in the morning or after a nap :).
    The bread looks just beautiful too!

  7. Thanks Shelby!

    She did have a long nap, the house was extra yesterday afternoon. 🙂 I love those sleepy smiles too. 🙂
