Our oldest all ready to find some interesting bugs.
Two of our children and I, our oldest son was all ready to catch bugs too!
Then the gentle shower started, we could stand under a tree and avoid getting wet. Fortunately it was just a rain shower and not a thunderstorm!
Here Baby and I were standing under a large tree, I didn’t really want to get wet…
A happy little girl
Then the rain stopped, the clouds broke up and we even saw blue sky! So we enjoyed the rest of the walk without the rain. Baby wearing daddy’s hat. She is so cute!
Thinking back to this walk reminded me of a hymn we sing, so I thought I would share the words here today as well.
There Shall Be Showers Of Blessings
Written By: Daniel W. Whittle, 1883
There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
Refrain:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.
There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.
I like that hymn. It looks like it was a fun day for all, even with some rain showers.

It looked fun to play in the rain. I am glad your family had a good time together.
Nice big trees to shelter mom and baby!
Showers of blessings is a great song.
Continued Blessings!

Dear Mrs. Lily of the Valley,
What lovely children you seem to have. What a wonderful way to send your restful Sabbath Day! Indeed is that not a day to look forward to π I have commented on here before but I think I neglected to tell you who I am. My name is Maiden Princess and I am always interested in the blogs of virtuous women that I can look up to. For you see, I am not yet married which obviously means that neither do I have children. I have graduated but am not pursuing any type of career but rather the qualities that are pleasing to the LORD and the knowledge and wisdom of how to be a good keeper at home one day since I know He has called me to that. I love to write and have a blog on Homeschoolblogger as well. I believe if you click on my name it will take you there.
But back to my original reason for commenting, I just wanted to say thank you for delighting in your callilng and being such a wonderful example of what virtuous womanhood and motherhood is all about. I look forward to continuing to read your blog!
Because of His Grace,
Maiden Princess
Great pictures, Tanya! Looks like a lovely afternoon despite the showers! π Our kids love to go to parks also…we pack a picnic lunch and head off in search of a park! π
Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog about Ella!
Have a wonderful day!
