A Beautiful Hymn

Here is a hymn we have song recently and it is so meaningful.  It is like what our prayer should be to the Lord every morning when we wake up.   I think we heard this first sung by the Wissmann Family last fall.  We then purchased one of their latest cd’s and this song is also on it.

May the Mind of Chirst, My Savior

Written by Kate B. Wilkinson

May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.

May the peace of God my Father
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill me
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing,
This is victory.

May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.

May His beauty rest upon me,
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.

May the beauty of the Lord rest upon you all as you live for Him.

May all we do and say bring Him honour and glory.

He is so good!

  1. That is such a wonderful hymn Mrs. Lily of the Valley. Thank you for posting it. I, as well, like the Wissman Family. Thy lyrics to this wonderful hymn are very touching and I agree, what a wonderful prayer they make. May You Be Abudantly Blessed This Fine Day!

  2. Sometimes just helps to read the song! I've sung this so many times, but it is only when I start to read it that it takes on meaning. Thank you for sharing it today.

Your photos are lovely. My bleeding heart got trampled a few years ago…I need to replace it!
